I think Heidegger brought in poetry and quasi-divine revelation to help answer the ultimate ontological question.

The thing, we seem to have forgotten that the scientific discourse might shade off into philosophy, theology, and art at some point, as opposed to being self-sufficient, as in the pseudo "theories of everything" that are supposed to be perfectly naturalistic and scientific.
