I think he refers to spatiotemporal events towards the end of his talk, when he talks about the lack of unity in all the types of events or parts of the universe (but I could be wrong). There are no "parts" because there's no whole. There are just discontinuous streams of types and events or facts. Maybe "spatiotemporal" provides too much illusion of unity. But the discontinuity would be between macro and micro physics (Einsteinian spacetime and quantum mechanics).
