I take a similar pragmatic, neo-Kantian view of concepts (link below). So I agree that reality outstrips our conceptual simplifications. Poetry uncovers the dimensions of reality that hide in plain sight. But that's all the more reason to avoid idolizing an abstraction or a cliched phrase like "God is love."
