I see the point that there might be grounds for doubting Yudkowsky's premise, and that if he's on the wrong track, he might be inadvertently propping up Big Tech by hyping its harmful business model with the flashy promise of superintelligence.
My article is tangential to all that. I comment on why the industry would ignore moral questions, assuming for the sake of argument that Yudkowsky's concern is legitimate. I suppose you're saying we shouldn't even treat the concern as reasonable or worthy of discussion. But doesn't the power of the recent AGIs speak for itself?
And can you point me to some evidence that Yudkowsky is an outright fraud who knows nothing about computer science? Are you basing this on his lack of formal education?
