I see from your other comments that you’re a cranky old man who likes to troll people on Medium with personal attacks.

You don’t specify any of these alleged “unsupported assumptions.” Nor do you seem to realize that the article is partly facetious and isn’t really arguing that reelecting Trump would be rational. The point is that Trump’s supporters might as well be thinking that all you can expect from the American government is good entertainment, because the system has become so dysfunctional.
