I say much the same in "The Vanity of Cosmological Questions" and elsewhere. The problem is that the cosmologist's math doesn't translate cleanly into natural language. Regardless of who says it, the notion that "time began" is oxymoronic in English. The mathematical version of the statement is probably lost in translation.
