I just point out here that liberals and progressives often both act mainly as consumers. But I'm aware of the distinction between liberals and progressives, and I repudiate wokeness (left-wing unhinged political correctness) elsewhere (links below).

As for postmodernism, it can also be understood as hyper-modern, so there would be continuity between classic liberals and woke progressives.
