I imagine Rothbard would decry especially taxation as an artificial redistribution of wealth that seeks to make the poor more like the rich. But as I say in the article, the "socialist" goal isn't to make everyone absolutely equal in all respects. Instead, it's to prevent a collapse into a neo-feudal order that entrenches its social divisions so that progress becomes impossible.
