I haven't studied them like an economist because I'm not an economist and I never clamed to be one. Immersed in economics as you are at the graduate level, you seem to be inclined to chastise anyone else for daring to say a negative word about economics unless the critic has done a Ph.D. in the field. That would be a ludicrously high bar you're raising. And the defensiveness would be quite revealing.
