I haven't read it, but judging from the Wikipedia page, I'd lump it in with speculations on transhumanism, to which I'm open and which I've written about. But I regard it as speculative, especially the stuff on the multiverse of memetics. Transhumanism would make for a happy ending of secular humanistic progress. There are also more pessimistic scenarios, and I have no crystal ball for seeing which way it will go.
