I have no idea what strategies or tactics would actually work in the American context (or really in any real-world political system), but it seems obvious which Democratic response to Republican intransigence (and anarchical, trolling malevolence) would be most honourable, and that's to tell the radical truth about what their society and political system have become.

Republicans would have an easy response to the nice policies proposed by Biden: they'd be smeared as pie-in-the-sky socialism. Hopefully the Dems will win the senate through Georgia.

One thing we can be sure of: American politics will always be interesting--much more so than Canadian politics, for example, which is why I follow the former much more than the latter.
