I have a copy of that book, but haven't read it. I've watched some video discussions of his theory, and I'm intrigued by this sort of big picture view of history. It's similar to Leonard Shlain's Alphabet Versus the Goddess, I think, but more scientific (or perhaps pseudoscientific).

Maybe I'll delve more into the Master and His Emissary, to see where it differs from my account of history. Thanks for the suggestion.
