I do indeed aim for these articles to be logically consistent. The Promethean Revolt article is pretty foundational for me and nifty, I think.
But this aesthetic view of nature that goes back to Romanticism is in danger of being too "postmodern." It has to be compatible with the affirmation that scientific truth is objective.
The glue that holds these things together, I think, is pragmatism. Science and the search for meaning are different human pursuits. Science ends in technological empowerment, and scientific objectivity overlaps with aesthetic detachment, as I argument in an old article on my blog.
