No, I read what interests me, without a thought in the world as to whether that author will read my writings in turn. It's weird for writers or artists generally to be so transactional and materialistic, and that's a fact. And it's also weird because your articles somehow get more claps than mine on average, so even your Homo economicus reasoning makes little sense in my case. But even to have been dragged down to this sordid level of discourse next to an article on Trumpism is quite ironic.
