I agree that there are potentially more important challenges, which was my point. The question is whether it would ever be possible to solve the problems of identity politics to justify shifting the focus, when those who have tribal identities are trained to be partisans in defense of those identities. Tribal advocates won't be happy until there's a totalitarian reckoning for every trace of the relevant objectionable behaviour.
