I am indeed scornful of conservatism because I take myself to have shown in a long series of articles that "conservative thought" is a fraud. It's not progressives who boil conservatism down to a preference for dominance hierarchies. Rather, it's the apparent fact that conservative rhetoric entails policies which protect such traditional hierarchies, in practice. That's my hypothesis, at least. So you're shooting the messenger.
