I agree, which is why I talk about pantheism and a new animism. This miracle of nature, though, would support deism rather than theism since the initial act of creation would be miraculous enough. And at some point, you'd have to trust that initial act rather than denigrating it by assuming that further miracles were needed. Sure, if a deity can accomplish one miracle, he can do further ones. But the exceptions God makes detracts from his creative integrity, and from the importance of his initial creative act and inspiration.
