I agree that we can communicate our conscious states, this being a point I make in the article. But I'm not sure that weakens the analogy much, since even black holes are expected to vent their contents with Hawking radiation. This has to do with the information paradox of whether the info in a black hole is lost forever.

Even if human communication does weaken the analogy, the similarity between the experiential privacy of qualia and the confinement of the black hole's interior still holds.
