I agree that this isn't the most important topic in the world, but I don't see how I'm taking Stoicism too seriously just by writing a few articles on it. As you can see from a list of my writings (link below), I write on many topics.

As for the self-help culture, I think this is a great annoyance since it pushes philosophy to the side even on Medium. It's like exoteric, literalistic religion which crowds out the elite, esoteric form. The masses always prefer the dumber versions of things. Maybe the finer arts are fit to be appreciated only by elite minorities, but there are potentially dire consequences of mass benightedness.
