I agree that there's likely that implicit disrespect on the Israelis' part. Wars make for hard feelings on both sides. I have an upcoming article on whether Israelis implicitly lump all Palestinians in with Hamas (hence the brutal bombing and blockade of Gaza). The stereotyping is easier to do in this case, though, since Arabs are united in certain ways, such as in failing to recognize the state of Israel.
