I agree that there are multiple causes of the hatred or of the Palestinian opposition to Israel and the US, and the reasons you give are plausible and well-stated. This article doesn't reckon with that conspiratorial aspect of the history. I think what you're saying, though, is consistent with what I'm saying here. My hypothesis here is rather psychological. I don't mean to say psychology is the only factor. Of course the hatred is based on history, politics, and brainwashing, and it becomes more deranged, theological, and self-perpetuating from one generation to the next.

But while this explanation of yours isn't just kneejerk wokeness, I think it shortchanges the compromise that was made after WWII in creating Israel as a home for both Jews and Palestinians. Was this only a beachhead for Western powers to steal Middle Eastern oil? It had nothing to do with protecting Jews after the Holocaust? That seems a little too cynical to me, although I don't claim to be an expert historian.

Anyway, I have other articles on this topic prepared, and I'll try to write something that engages with this Western conspiratorial aspect of the conflict.
