I agree that that predatory formulation is sadistic and incoherent. But it's easy to beg the question when we ask for "evidence" for God. We're assuming that reason should decide the issue, but the concept of God is of something that transcends our comprehension. So the challenge would be to think the unthinkable, which is paradoxical. We too easily overlook the paradox when we presuppose that the question of God's "existence" is like asking about any ordinary empirical matter.
