I agree that nature is majestic and sublime, but those aren't mere goods. Nature is beyond good and evil, which makes it alien, contrary to our inclinations to humanize whatever seems different from us.

What you call "coming to terms" with nature, I call "humanization," the creating of artificial extensions of our minds and bodies to blot out nature's inhumanity (its amorality, indifference, godlessness, and horrific/awesome alienness).
