I agree that Christian hypocrisy is a major selling point for atheism or skepticism. But I think Hart would want to say it's not just a series of moral laws that liberals owe to Christianity. It's the set of concepts on which liberal humanism is founded. So the question is whether liberalism can stand independently or whether secular liberals, in turn, must be hypocritical in rejecting Christian theology even as their morality is based on Christian concepts of human rights and the conscience.
