I agree. Evangelical Christianity in the US is appalling in many ways. I’ve written numerous articles on it and debated various Evangelicals over the years, including one who used to run a website called The Thinking Christian. For me, the hypocrisy in Christianity is the worst aspect of that religion, and Evangelical Christianity, the kind that’s in league with the Republican Party is arguably the most hypocritical offshoot of Christianity.
