I agree about the anomalousness of life. I call it not supernatural but anti-natural, a tendency that comes to fruition in intelligent species like ours which has a godlike, Promethean agenda. Instead of seeking compromise and equilibrium with the natural environment, we aim to conquer it and to expand like cancer. Whether that's good or bad in the long run, it's certainly mysterious.
