How would dwelling on the dangers of transhumanism get readers more enthusiastic about transhumanism in general? Maybe the inclusion of negative scenarios would prejudice readers against transhumanism.

It's impossible to be well-rounded about everything in an article unless you're going to write a lengthy, unreadable dissertation. Especially in a short article, a writer must emphasize this and deemphasize that.

This article, for instance, isn't even mainly about transhumanism. It's about transgenderism as a harbinger of transhumanism.
