Hmm, it's possible he's not mentally ill. He hasn't been formally diagnosed. But the evidence is overwhelming that he at least has certain severe personality disorders like narcissism.

I'm not saying we shouldn't criticize anyone with a mental illness, though. On the contrary, some illnesses are essential to the real trait of being an evil person. So we can protect ourselves from the worst disordered individuals while refraining from indulging in such extravagant demonization of them that we end up exacerbating the stigma on mental illnesses which more innocent victims of disorders have to bear. That's the point I was going for here.
