Her dichotomy is between good and evil, between productive egotists and altruistic moochers. And her novels focus on the most productive of all individuals, on the robber baron industrialists who are indeed material winners in society. Those winners "shrug" and bring society to a standstill, putting the spotlight on how the evil moochers have been relative losers all along.
But if you don't think the winners-losers distinction is representative, I don't see how much turns on it. Do my criticisms depend on that attribution to her?
