Great points, as always. Your account of the more local context of this flareup is quite plausible. I agree also that Muslims aren't inherently-anti-Jewish. Christendom was worse for Jews in the Middle Ages. It's mainly a late-modern problem, caused largely by Nazi propaganda which built on Christian scapegoating, as I say in the article.
My explanation here is indeed a big-picture one. I'm not sure about that renaissance in the Muslim world, though. Are you talking about the modernization of Saudi Arabia? The Arab Spring has been something of a flash in the pan. In any case, I think it's worth swinging the pendulum in this direction to counter the blind wokeness and the kneejerk criticisms of Israel. This war will likely have global consequences, so the broader conflict will be reframed, meaning the local context won't be as relevant.
