Good points. But the theology is naturally unfalsifiable. God works in mysterious ways, so maybe there's a hidden reason why Paul never met the historical Jesus. Maybe that ignorance allowed him to focus on the risen Christ, so Christianity could escape the Jewish emphasis on the historical Jesus's message, which collapsed after the Jewish-Roman Wars.
Regardless, the Christian can't have it both ways. Was the risen Jesus a ghost or a zombie? Or some gruesome combination of the two? How can Christianity be comforting when it rests on two horror genres? What kind of salesmanship is required to obscure that plain fact?
