Exactly. A real writer, I suspect, is driven by the urge to write great sentences, one after another. It's a question of doing justice to your muse or daemon, to your inner judge of what's great and what's mediocre. Whether nonwriters have the time or the interest in reading it, in between texting, watching TikTok videos, or working a dead end job is neither here nor there.
