Every social event has thousands of causes. So right-wing populism has thousands of causes, which is why I say populism in the US is due "partly" to problems with education. A failure of basic education is one of thousands of factors that can contribute more in some places than others to the rise of populism. Another factor is the downside of liberalism, which affects both Europe and the US. But this dialogue is focused on education.
