Do you think God inspired the writing of the Quran or any other scripture apart from the Bible?
Scholars who study how scriptures are produced posit all kinds of complexity in the matter. It's far from just a divine inspiration that leads to a visionary putting pen to parchment. There are many levels of redaction and of cultural borrowing, plagiarism, syncretism, literary techniques, and so on. There's also the institutional selection of scriptures for canonization, and the banning of others (such as the Gnostic gospels). That's where the politics or "religious" control enters the picture. Of course, there's also poetic and spiritual inspiration that go into the production of these great literary works. But there's no need to posit divine inspiration or any miracle to explain the existence of scriptures.
