Do I say that horror is the only emotional response to the cosmic immensities? I don't think so. It's a natural response that I try to explain. But sure, these feelings might be heroically overcome. I talk about that tragic heroism elsewhere (links below), and I think of transhumanity not just as technological supremacy, but as a state of mind in which that fear is overcome.
