Christianity was politically tainted early on, but there's a satirical message in the gospels which led to Gnosticism and which tapped into some ancient Greek philosophical themes (Orphism, Cynicism, Platonic dualism). There are universal themes in the story of a dying and rising godman. Christian theology, though, is rather propaganda when taken literally.

I'm always amazed by your thorough reflections on my articles, so thanks for those.
