Certainly, Netanyahu's coalition is an extreme right-wing one, run largely by the Jewish fundamentalists. So this is the worst of Israel we're seeing, and it's the result of the intifadas and the liberal project of peace deals failing in the '90s. That failure was more the fault of the Palestinians than the Israelis.
