Certainly, I don't establish in this article (or set out to establish) that theistic religion and capitalistic egoism are crazy. I merely assume they are on some intuitive level, for the sake of argument, because the article is about psychiatry, not religion or capitalism. How would psychiatry deal with the existence of crazy norms and social functions? That's the counterfactual question I mean to raise here.
