Carrier's the leading Christ myth proponent. Most academics who study the NT and early Christian history disagree with him on key points, but it's hard to tell whether that's due to their Christian bias (since most are committed Christians). Some of what Carrier says about the evidence in the NT and Josephus seems convoluted or farfetched, but I've watched Carrier in numerous online debates about Christian origins and he typically eviscerates his opponents. Still, most of those opponents aren't leading experts in the field. Carrier also demolishes negative reviews of his work, on his website.
