By "dry," do you mean it's impersonal? It's argumentative and philosophical. I don't know what you expect, but there are different kinds of writing out there. I try to keep it lively, entertaining, and otherwise readable, but this article's just a substantive response to a particular criticism of atheism.

What would my suffering have to do with anything? How would it affect the question of whether atheists should try to convince religious folks to give up their religion? Are you saying that religion is needed to deal with suffering, or that it's obviously not since atheists suffer too?

Anyway, you're shooting the messenger. The argument isn't mind. I'm just responding to it.
