But Trump does create new values, namely the narcissistic ones of his greatness. It's an appalling value system, but it's changed America. He's a transformational president, and he's done so based not on the Founders' liberalism, but on something closer to social Darwinism. As I said, Trump's fixation on winners and losers approximates Nietzsche's quasi-Darwinian talk of existential authenticity or the "order of rank" that depends on how realistic we are. Trump is more realistic than liberals in that he's deeply cynical, and he carries on regardless of the unpleasant facts.
