But that's a red herring. My argument isn't that love doesn't exist, or that there's no such thing as religious or spiritual experiences. I'm sure there are states of bliss and empathy for everyone that follow from spiritual discipline. The question is whether the source of that state should be identified with the source of all natural things. The question at issue is whether God should be identified with love.
