But I'm talking about philosophical problems. People go to see Peterson now because he's famous. They're jumping on a bandwagon. That has little to do with the merit of what he's selling. His audience members will justify their interest in him by saying they're intrigued by his message--and indeed, I don't maintain that he has nothing interesting to say. But audiences tend to snowball after a breakthrough is reached, in which case lots of his audience like him mainly because he's famous.
