But if the conflict can be resolved only by switching off our brains or by ingesting drugs that alter brain chemistry, that would testifiy to the reality of the conflict. Likewise, you could eliminate and moot the conflict by blowing up the planet. But that wouldn't address, let alone resolve the conflict itself.
