But have Muslims been equally anti-Jewish throughout their history, or did this bigotry increase dramatically after WWI? My understanding is that Muslims were more tolerant of Jews (albeit in a condescending way) in the medieval period when Jews had less power and posed less of a threat. Obviously, a powerful Jewish state would make for a major target of scapegoating for jealous and resentful Muslims whose states aren't part of the First World (since they're not culturally modern or free).
