Is "Deconstructing Christianity" meant to counter "Backyard Church" or to target specifically its liberal halfway house for wavering Christians? I'd suggest that it should.

Medium is pretty liberal, I've found, and liberal "Christians" who are more like secular humanists and quasi-atheists want to think of themselves as religious because of taboos around atheism. Paradoxically, Backyard Church sells Christianity by hammering conservative or actual Christianity, and by avoiding the issue that liberal Christianity slides right into liberal secularism, skepticism, and virtual atheism.
