As tempted as most of us are to watch screens rather than to read in depth, there are still some intellectuals who prefer high-quality content and who surround themselves with books. Intellectuals have always been in the minority. Even in the early modern period, with all its "Renaissance men," most people living in Europe at that time were labourers, the poor, and sheltered or oppressed women. Reading was for the rich who had the free time.

Some of my favourite articles that I've written for Medium are long, but they rarely do as well as the shorter articles. You're supposed to write in baby paragraphs and short sentences, too, to avoid intimidating the infantilized readers.

I see that some of your articles are autobiographical. The next article I'll be sending to Publishious in several days happens to be on the downside of revealing so much personal information as a writer. People can learn about me indirectly by looking at the opinions I express and the topics I cover in my writing. But why would they want to learn about me? I'm not a celebrity. So I focus on assessing various issues from my perspective, but mainly I focus on filling out my worldview as a work of art.
