As far as we know in depth, human consciousness is the height of consciousness. You say mystics know a deeper kind of consciousness, but the only way we could be sure the mystical state isn't a matter of contacting an aspect of human consciousness is if the mystic encountered not just a raw form but an alien personality, as in a theophany.
