This is the first time, though, I've seen you appeal to a more theistic or neoplatonic theory. Consciousness streaming into us like light into a hologram? Maybe, but there are likely simpler explanations.
I agree, though, that we should figure out what to do once we're clear on the big picture. Of course, that reckoning is delayed because we (cultures) disagree on that picture. That's what philosophical and religious debates are about. I try to incorporate that disagreement by pointing out that our answers to these grand questions are in some sense fictions, stories we're telling ourselves to distract from our existential predicament of being persons who are alienated from the wilderness.
