Are you saying I'm being romantic in wishing that Harris were more heroic in Hollywood terms and that the Democrats might win by doing the behind-the-scenes work to get out the vote? I hope that's right and that she wins because the Democrats know what they're doing. But the undeniable fact is that the polls still show the race being very close. If politicians were professionals and experts, how is it that half the voters are voting against the whole establishment, in supporting Trump? This is no ordinary election, so it might call for out-of-the-box thinking to explain its results. But we'll see what happens in a few days. I'm looking for a silver lining no matter who wins.
